Network Services (Network Storage Server)

The PowerElf II network storage server is an easy to manage appliance that protects, manages and shares data across all Windows, Mac OS/X, Unix and Linux clients with no client-side software to install.

Our file storage servers offer an intuitive web interface for easy and fast deployment. The network appliance can be configured in minutes, so your company can start providing workgroup / domain file-sharing quickly.


PowerElf server appliances are perfect for LAN infrastructures that rely on a workgroup file server, and require the reliability that accompanies it.

The PowerElf server appliance can be purchased with options such as hard disk mirroring (RAID-1) to provide fault tolerance to your server. PowerElf network servers are packed with power to support all types of computing environments.

Journaling Ext3 file system - The PowerElf's file system does not require a file system check, even after an unclean system shutdown, because the data is written to disk in such a way that the file system is always consistent.

Cross-Platform File Support - Supports networks consisting of any combination of Windows, Macintosh, UNIX and Linux machines. Users can exchange information by dragging file icons to shared volumes. Internal security is increased by allowing only certain users access to certain folders on the server. PowerElf Internet Server Appliances includes FTP services (File Transfer Protocol) for internal and external file transfers.

Secure Storage - Internal security on the PowerElf is increased by allowing users to have access to certain folders. Folders can be protected by user accounts.

PowerSites - These sites can be created for local or remote access. Create file sharing locations or a workgroup folder for a specific users in your company. You can then share files via the network, ftp or over the Internet. Data in these folders can be html or files. Security is set from the web-based GUI interface.

Print Services - The PowerElf server supports IP based printers, such as HP Jet Direct Printers, and one parallel port printer (LPT1) connected to the back of the PE2.

Easy network expansion - The local DHCP services automatically assigns to each of the computers on your network an IP address, subnet mask, gateway IP address and DNS IP address. Doing this reduces the risk of human error and provides you with a fast, simple way of connecting more computers as your network expands.
